    A pilot of smaller cattle sold every Qurbani share at CAD 150, but the cycle returned 2.47% over six months, the lowest since 2022. The seven-year average stayed at 11.04%. Eight families earned as micro-entrepreneurs and 95 jobs were created.

    Investors earned 11.43% over the cycle (25.85% annualised) and the herd broke the average daily weight-gain record at 0.59 kg. Seven cattle feeders from three villages took part, including three women who opened business bank accounts for the first time.

    Returns recovered to 11.77% after the 2022 floods. Humaniti bought 75% of the Qurbani shares, which solved the selling problem of the previous year. Six entrepreneurs each received a CAD 634 bonus on top of monthly income.

    The hardest year. Lumpy skin disease killed three of fifty cattle and the monsoon floods cut the villages off before Eid, so only 11 cattle reached the market hub. Investors still received a positive 3.83%, and the remaining cattle fed flood victims at a fraction of market price.

    CAD 43,056 raised and spent across five villages: 18,760 fresh iftar meals, 63 care hampers, 75 Eid gift bundles and 289 Zakat-ul-Fitr hampers, all sourced from 15 local businesses.

    Work spread from one model village to thirty, reaching more than 4,000 families. Ten farmers, eight of them women, became very small enterprises with their own business bank accounts.

    The first publicly available cycle, run through the COVID-19 lockdowns. Investors earned 12.75%, entrepreneurs earned 40% more than the regional average, and the cattle gained 0.577 kg a day, twice the provincial average.
